Archway's copyrighted program
is designed to be the next step in the continuum of care for an individual completing a primary substance abuse treatment program as well as a primary program for the individual who has never been to treatment. The Archway program is a simple formula for acquiring and maintaining the sobriety over an eight to ten week outpatient treatment and creating an environment that allows you to remain in recovery. For those coming out of a residential program this unique and solid program of recovery reinforces the education and sober experience you have received in a Primary Residential Treatment Setting. If you have never been in treatment we have a primary group that will prepare you to enter the main group of clients and begin treatment.
Our program focuses on three areas necessary for the continued development of a healthy recovery lifestyle:
- Identifying the patient's current understanding and status regarding the 12 Step program. Assisting the patient to develop practical application of the 12 Step philosophies in their daily life.
- Clients will develop ability to recognize elements of dysfunctional life skills and the role they often play in addictive behavior. Clients will develop healthy coping skills necessary for continued growth and maintenance of a recovery lifestyle.
- Clients will recognize both recovery and relapse as an ongoing process. Archway’s approach includes emphasis on developing a strong recovery lifestyle as the best deterrent to relapse.
The Archway Program is an 8 to 10 week program for adults and 12 weeks for adolescents. Our clients will attend lectures and process groups three evenings a week for 3 1/2 hours. The adult group meets every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening with a mandatory 12 step meeting on Fridays. The adolescent Quest Program meets Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for 3-4 hours with mandatory 12 step meeting on Friday. Each group starts with a guided meditation from the "Just for Today" book from AA. The meditation group lasts 30 minutes and gives patients the opportunity to learn how to meditate and establish a spiritual connection. The lectures will review and renew the 12 Steps of AA as well as offering life management skills. These include Anger Management, Decision Making and Anxiety & Depression.
