STAFF

Marion Watson is our Administrator. She worked at LaHacienda Treatment Center in Hunt, and finished her internship in Drug and Alcohol counseling in 1990. She served for two years as the Director of the Family Program in the Substance Abuse Unit at Shoal Creek Hospital in Austin, Texas. Marion was also the Project Manager for Serenity Foundation of Texas, Fredericksburg Treatment Center in 2000. She is currently a student at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas obtaining her degrees in Psychology and Religion. She and her husband live in Hunt and spend their time swimming, traveling and kayaking. She has 22 years of experience working with alcoholics and addicts. She is co-owner and CEO of the facility.

Leslie Ann Bridgeman is our Administrative Director. She has 15 years of experience in Business Administration. Leslie Ann worked with the Program Director of K'Star Youth & Family Services upon moving to Kerrville. She is currently a student at Northeast Lakeview College in San Antonio obtaining her degrees in both History and Business Administration. Leslie Ann resides in San Antonio and is the proud mother of two adult daughters and two very spoiled French Bulldogs.

William R. Barnes, LCDC, ADC is our Clinical Program Director. Bill has worked in substance abuse treatment since 1994. He has experience with adolescent and adult populations in both outpatient and residential treatment facilities. Formally at Serenity House in Fredericksburg, Texas, Bill served as Program Director and Counselor for over seven years. His strengths include program development, management, and 12 Step philosophy with an emphasis on practical spirituality. Bill and his wife reside in the Kerrville area and have two children. Bill enjoys traveling, exploring the diversity of cultures and music.

Vonnie Nealon, LCDC ADC is our Clinical Program Director in our San Antonio office. Vonnie has dedicated her life to working with those afflicted with the disease of addiction since her own recovery in 1987. Vonnie began working in the substance abuse treatment in 1989 as an LVN in a detox facility. While working as an LVN she returned to college to pursue her counselor's license. She has worked with both adolescent and adult populations in both outpatient and residential treatment facilities. Vonnie has worked for several different facilities including Serenity House, La Hacienda, and formally served as the Director of Clinical Services at Origins Recovery Center in South Padre Island, Texas. Vonnie and her husband reside in Center Point, Texas. She enjoys reading, music, the beach, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

CONSULTING STAFF

Dr. Janet Chene, is a Board Certified Physician in both family and holistic medicine. Dr. Chene is our consulting physician, specializing in the field of neurotransmitters. She is a fellow at the American Academy of Family Physicians, and a former Medical School Faculty member. Dr. Chene provides our patients with guidance in taking care of themselves physically, and in other dimensions as well. Hal Robinson brings a special touch to our treatment center with his Native American Indian healing rituals and spirituality. He holds a masters degree in Rehabilitative Counseling, and is a graduate of Shand’s Teaching Hospital, University of Florida at Gainesville. He has been a certified Gestalt Psychotherapist since 1974. Hal’s experience with the indigenous cultures of North America has led him towards an integration of Native American wisdom and modern therapeutic practice called “The Enemy Way”. Dr. Mary Lou Shelton is our consultant Psychologist. Mary Lou earned a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Alabama in 1980. Her internship at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Administration Hospital included one year on the Alcohol Treatment Unit. Dr. Shelton has 27 years of expertise in the treatment of addiction. She served as Staff Psychologist in the Substance Abuse Unit for the Kerrville State Hospital for eight years before entering private practice. Over the years, Dr. Shelton has provided both consultative and clinical services for La Hacienda Treatment Center, The Essay House (a halfway house for recovering women), the 38th Judicial District Treatment Center in Uvalde, the Kerrville VAH Substance Abuse Program, and the Texas Department of Rehabilitative Services.

Drs. Wendy and Charles Wickware are Doctors of Chiropractic Medicine working in the Healing Arts Center, and are available to work with Archway Clients to help heal the problems associated with substance abuse and the body. They emphasize preventative care, with factors such as nutrition, exercise and posture all playing an important role in this approach to total health. Drs. Charles and Windy have seventeen years experience in treating musculosketal and nutritional disorders. Dr. Charles Wickware is certified in the use of acupuncture for pain management, and Dr. Wendy assists in the nutritional well being of her patients. She provides nutritional counseling and lifestyle recommendations to enhance proper digestion, absorption and elimination.

Judieth Ann Brack is an international skin specialist who owns and operates a medical aesthetics practice, the Skin Care Clinic in the Healing Arts Center . She treats damaged and abused skin for both men and women. Judieth has been an international speaker and has a patented product formulator that rejuvenates and optimizes the skins health and appearance. Judieth is able to help both men and women who's skin has been damaged by drug and alcohol use. Results are usually visible after the first session.
